As a primary therapist at Driftwood’s main campus, Brett’s responsibilities include accepting individual clients with compassion and integrity to build a therapeutic alliance which fosters trust, resiliency, and change. He facilitates DBT-based psychoeducational, skill building, and experiential groups to improve client’s interpersonal skills and ability to understand and regulate their emotions. As well as Creative Expression groups to provide alternative means of therapeutic expression beyond traditional talk therapy models.
As a man in recovery who experiences the benefits of being more than 10 years free from the burden alcohol and drugs beared on his life, Brett appreciates and feels inspired by people’s courageous efforts to take control their lives. He finds meaning in witnessing and supporting others in those efforts.
Outside of work Brett enjoys woodworking, reading, golfing, spending time with my wife and son, listening to music, antiquing, watching and playing sports.
