Emma Kern, LPC-A

Vocational Clinician

Emma began her career at Driftwood as a clinical intern and joined our team as our vocational counselor. Emma helps clients develop the skills and ability to find employment constructively amidst their journey to recovery. As well as being a Clinician at our Community Integration Program, Emma leads client groups at our Intensive Outpatient Program. Emma is an integral part of our client’s individualized experience throughout their full continuum in our care.

With a background in Acute Psychiatric Care, working with SUD and personality disorders, Emma is also trained in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. She has a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Masters in Mental Health Counseling.

Emma is passionate about working with individuals to help them become the best, most capable versions of themselves. Emma skilfully uses Driftwood’s attachment-based model to allow clients to look inside themselves, see their potential, and use all they have to reach their goals, live out their values, and overcome obstacles.

Outside of the therapeutic setting, Emma enjoys live music, taking her dog out on adventures, and spending time near the water.
