Gene is a teacher and a leader in his communities. He is a graduate student at the Academy of Oriental Medicine where he is Co-President of the student government. At the age of 13, Gene began studying hard styles of martial arts earning black belts in 3 different systems. His life took a turn at 27 when he began the journey of understanding how martial arts and healing are based on many of the same basic principles and systems. He now regularly teaches 3 Vessels Technique locally at Seton McCarthy Community Center, the Amala Foundation’s Communal Healing Project, and Soma Vida, as well as state-certified Continuing Education Credits to massage therapists.
Gene supports the wellness team and the Driftwood community through providing acupuncture, cupping, and message.
