Patrick Greer is a Licensed Master Social Worker and outpatient clinician on Driftwood’s Life Integration Team. He runs group therapy sessions and works with clients on a one-on-one basis, also facilitating community integration opportunities tailored to clients’ needs.
Patrick wrote his honors thesis on best practices in substance use treatment. In the years before joining Driftwood’s clinical team, he worked in homelessness services, housing case management with families in crisis, and with veterans at Austin’s VA clinic as a practicum clinician. His research findings, professional background, and personal experiences in recovery have led him to draw on a variety of theoretical approaches into his practice, incorporating aspects from 12-step and harm reduction frameworks alike.
In his free time, he enjoys doing yoga, reading, gardening, bouldering, two-step dancing, and playing Dungeons & Dragons (not simultaneously).
