Sean Gorman collaborates with the Driftwood Clinical Team weekly, leading client-centered educational and process groups. He received his Masters in Counseling from the University of Colorado and is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with a thriving private practice in nearby Dripping Springs. In his 27 years of practice, Sean has committed to working with those experiencing mental health difficulties related to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, attention deficit disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance use disorders, trauma history, and relational problems. Sean is a skills-based therapist who teaches his clients real-life strategies that can be used outside of therapy to better the lives of those he works with. He utilizes a multidimensional approach to the mental health needs of his clients, incorporating the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of their lives. Becoming educated about the impact of mental health and brain development, learning how to manage emotions and socially connect with others, and developing skills to help manage thoughts are all important aspects of his therapeutic approach.
Sean transplanted to the Texas Hill Country with his wife in 2015 from Colorado. When Sean isn’t in the office, you can find him hiking, kayaking with his family, or improving his golf swing at a nearby golf course!
